Christina Aguilera Bares All in W Magazine

Although Beyonce and Christina Aguilera have dueling W magazine covers for the month of July, it's Xtina who literally bares all in the publication, which hits newsstands June 21. Not only does the 30-year-old singer pose rather provocatively for the spread, but she opens up about the incredibly rough year she's had, which included canceling a concert tour due to low ticket sales, getting divorced from music producer Jordan Bratman, flubbing the lyrics to the "Star-Spangled Banner" at the Super Bowl, and being arrested with her current boyfriend Matt Rutler for being "extremely intoxicated."

"I don't mean to martyr myself, but I think I was a victim of celebrity," Aguilera tells the mag of the incident. "I don't drive, I wasn't driving, and I committed no crimes, but they put me in jail. They called me a 'political hot potato.' They said, 'What are we going to do with this woman?' I think they were bored that night."

Ironically, on that fateful evening, Christina and her beau were out celebrating the fact that she had just finalized a deal to become one of the judges/mentors on "The Voice," which is a reality competition show that pits all types of singers against one another. Interestingly enough, Aguilera was initially resistant to signing on. "I've never watched an entire episode of 'American Idol,'" she admits. "It's too mean. Why would anyone want to go on a show to be ripped apart? I don't want to be tough with my singers, but I do want to tell them on 'The Voice' that if you really want this, you'll be kicked when you're down. You have to be willing to roll with those punches. You have to really want it. If there had been a show like 'The Voice' [when I was starting out] I would have gone on it. It would have been amazing to be coached by a mentor."

And it turns out viewers found the concept to be pretty amazing, too, as "The Voice" became an instant hit. As a result, things are looking up for the pop star, both professionally and personally. When speaking of her relationship with Rutler, whom she met while filming "Burlesque," Christina says, "He was so supportive -- and he still is. We've been through a lot in the past year."

Still, she's not exactly proud of her failed marriage, and hints at the fact that both she and her ex-hubby Bratman (with whom she has a 3-year-old son named Max) may have cheated. "We were both not angels," she confesses. "It got to a point where our life at home was reminding me of my own childhood. I will not have my son grow up in a tension-filled home. I knew there would be a negative reaction in the press to my divorce, but I am not going to live my life because of something someone might say. That goes against everything I sing on my records. I have to be myself."
