Chris Brown Blasts Critics Over Twitter

Chris Brown must really want people to continue hating him. The R&B singer put his critics on blast Tuesday -- two days after he won Best R&B Album at the Grammys -- via a profane and incredibly insensitive tweet that was very quickly deleted from his account. "HATE ALL YOU WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY Now!" Brown wrote. "That's the ultimate F—K OFF!" This from a guy who completed court-ordered anger management classes after he savagely beat then-girlfriend Rihanna on the eve of the 2009 Grammys. But then again, Brown did also throw a tantrum — and a chair! -- in the green room at "Good Morning America" last March, so perhaps he should re-enroll in classes.

Brown's latest outburst was presumably brought on by the many, many people who questioned his very presence at this past Sunday's Grammys, and why he was even invited to perform not once, but twice at the awards ceremony, where Rihanna was also in attendance. In addition to regular folks voicing their disdain for Brown, quite a few celebrities added their non-support of a convicted batterer — who has shown very little contrition for his awful actions — being praised.

"Chris Brown twice?" country singer Miranda Lambert tweeted on Monday. "I don't get it. He beat on a girl ... Not cool that we act like that didn't happen. He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead [Lambert's song about a woman killing her abusive husband] and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys." Eric Stonestreet from "Modern Family" shared similar sentiments. "Are Chris Brown's mom and dad CBS and Grammy Brown?" the actor posted on Twitter.

But for every person who is against Brown, there is another who supports him — and in some cases, doesn't believe he did anything wrong by beating up Rihanna. A shocking amount of tweets came rolling in on Grammy night from female fans who said they would be happy to let the singer hurt them. "I'd let Chris Brown beat me up any time," wrote one, while another added, "I don't know why Rihanna complained."

Brown clearly loves to stir the pot — and uses the controversy promote himself. After deleting his offensive tweets, he began re-tweeting all those who support him before ending with a link to view his latest music video for "Turn Up the Music" from his upcoming album, Fortune.
