Bobby Brown Makes a Plea Deal, Reunites with Bobbi Kristina

Things are looking up for Bobby Brown. The singer put his legal troubles behind him and reunited with his estranged daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

The notorious bad boy has brought an end to his latest legal drama. Yesterday, he pled "no contest" to one count of driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher, stemming from his arrest in California last month. In exchange for his plea, prosecutors dropped the DUI charge against the New Edition showman. He was sentenced to 36 months of informal probation and one day in jail, which he actually already served following the arrest.

Brown also reconnected with Bobbi Kristina, his 19-year-old daughter with the late Whitney Houston. The twosome had lunch at Blue Fin in New York City on Tuesday, reports Us Weekly, but it wasn't exactly an intimate affair. Not only did they select a restaurant in the heart of Manhattan's bustling Times Square, they were accompanied by four other people, including Brown's girlfriend, Alicia Etheridge, and Bobbi Kristina spent most of the meal sending text messages.

"She didn't seem too thrilled to be there, in all honesty," a source told the magazine.

Brown and his daughter haven't been seen together since the sudden death of Houston in February. While he showed up at the music legend's memorial service, he ended up storming out when security asked him to move his seat. Bobbi Kristina sat with her grandmother, Cissy Houston, in the front row.

Since her mother's death, Bobbi Kristina has been linked to Nick Gordon, whom Houston informally adopted when he was just 12 year old, and they have been living in Houston's Atlanta mansion. During an interview with Oprah in March, the teen said said, "I'm doing as good as I possibly can at this point. I'm just trying to keep going." But she's ready to work. After telling Oprah, "I have to carry on the legacy," and announced her intentions to launch a career singing and acting, she was cast in a recurring role on Tyler Perry's TBS sitcom "For Better or Worse," which will start its second season in July.

As for Brown, he's in the middle of a reunion tour with New Edition.
