Beyonce’s sultry new fragrance ad

Beyonce was snapped running around with her baby girl, Blue Ivy, earlier this week, rocking some box braids. While we love her new 'do, the music superstar sports her usual flowing, golden locks in an ad for her third fragrance, Midnight Heat. Bey looks beautiful as always as she pops a pose in a purple one-shoulder mini, with her hair blowing in the breeze in front of a cityscape backdrop. But the promo falls a little flat in comparison to the risque perfume ad Lady Gaga unveiled on Tuesday. In case you missed it, the "Born This Way" singer appears completely nude — aside from some strategically placed mini-men scattered across her bod — in a poster plugging the fragrance Fame.

Though Beyonce's ad might not be quite as, um, interesting as Lady Gaga's, it's probably more appealing to those in the market to buy a pretty bottle of perfume. According to Fragrantica, the sensual scent Midnight Heat "opens with opens with rich fruity flavors of plum from Armenia and star fruit. Orchid, black tulips, and purple peony form the heart that gradually turns into the oriental base of warm amber, sandalwood and patchouli." In contrast, last year during a radio interview, Gaga described Fame as smelling "like an expensive hooker … [blood and semen] is in the perfume, but it doesn't smell like it. You just get sort of the after feeling of sex from the semen, and the blood is sort of primal. And the blood was taken from my own blood sample, so it's like a sense of having me on your skin." Ew.

Fortunately, Gaga was a tad off base with that description, as Fame's packaging lists out the ingredients as being: "Tears of belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea, with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot, and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops."

Whose fragrance would you be more likely to buy?
