I swore I wasn't going to watch "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" this season, but I was immediately sucked in after the premiere. I mean, who can resist a good brawl at a baby's christening? Unfortunately, all that great TV drama has come at the expense of one of the show's stars, Teresa Giudice, and her family.
Teresa Giudice says that fame tore her family apart in the new issue of Us Weekly .
Back in the day, Teresa and her little brother Joe adored one another.
While Teresa, 39, and her brother Joe Gorga -- who now stars on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" as well -- used to be close, that's clearly not the case any longer. Joe called his older sister "garbage" at his son's christening. Ouch! Of course, whenever you're having family problems, it's always best to air your dirty laundry in a magazine.
Teresa and her four daughters grace the cover of the latest In Touch Weekly, and although she says she doesn't want to "stoop down" to her sister-in-law Melissa's level, she reveals that their problems are more or less rooted in jealousy. Apparently, Joe and Melissa became extremely jealous of Teresa when she became a big reality TV star!
More shocking is an In Touch cover line that leads the reader to believe that Teresa and her husband Joe's marriage is on the rocks. Popeater.com spoke to Giudice, who said that couldn't be further from the truth. "Read the article," she said. "We're together and very happy! And check out the pictures of me, my brother, and Melissa inside ... regardless of what she says, we really did all get along."
Seriously, check out the pics. Too bad MTV's "Jersey Shore" didn't exist in 1989!
Teresa and Joe have at least one thing in common -- they love a good tan!
