Sandra and Louis Take Manhattan

Sandra Bullock stepped out with her bundled-up cutie Louis Bardo in New York Thursday, and it turns out the pair -- who primarily base themselves in Austin and New Orleans -- aren't just in the Big Apple for the weather. Sandy is in town to film her first project since becoming mom to her "little Cajun Cookie" who turns 1 this month.

The Oscar winner has just commenced production on a drama titled "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close," which co-stars fellow Academy Award alum Tom Hanks and John Goodman, and centers around a 9-year-old kid who searches all over New York for the lock that matches a mysterious key left by his father when he was killed in the September 11 attacks.

Currently single, Bullock jokingly shot down rumors that she was dating her "Proposal" co-star Ryan Reynolds in a Golden Globes red carpet interview with the "Today" show's Al Roker. "I think there will be a collective sigh amongst women across the United States when I say, 'He's not my lover,'" she told Roker, adding, "He's just an amazing friend for 10 years ... but I don't get his loving after dark."

Bullock went on to share that she was suffering from separation anxiety from her baby boy on Globes night, but that she was being constantly updated on his well-being. "The beauty with modern technology is that you have Skype and iChat and things like that. Every five minutes my phone goes off with pictures, documentation," she said, joking, "He's got the iPad and the iPhone and the computer with iChat."

Always classy, Bullock had no comment Thursday when photographers asked her about her ex-husband Jesse James' engagement to "L.A. Ink's" Kat Von D. Instead, she held her head high and kept on walking. It would have been so easy to let a well-deserved snide comment slip, so bravo to Bullock for being a class act and staying above it all. It's more than most ordinary humans could manage.
