Sandra Bullock and Louis Play Pirates

It's no wonder everyone loves Sandra Bullock. In a town where so many gals and guys are obsessed with looking perfect, the "Proposal" star is shockingly normal, and proved this once again Sunday as she took her 22-month-old son, Louis, to a children's birthday bash at a park in Brentwood, California. The two looked ready for a swashbuckling adventure in their adorable pirate costumes complete with headgear and boots.

The 47-year-old Oscar winner admitted that since adopting Louis, the baby's "got the stage" when it comes to their life together.

"No one understands the shift in priorities about having a child in your life that you are responsible for, until you have a child in your life," Sandra told "Today." "It naturally shifts. It just shifted the first day I met him. It was like he'd been there the whole time, yet everything was different."

Sandra took some time off work to be with her little guy, but she'll be back on the big screen at Christmas for the limited release of "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close," which is scheduled to hit theaters everywhere on January 20. The actress stars as the mother of a precocious 9-year-old boy who lost his father (Tom Hanks) in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Now that he's gone, the boy goes in search of finding the lock that matches a key that the father left behind. Check out the trailer:
