Prince William has babies on the brain!

During an interview with ABC News about his grandmother's diamond jubilee, the future king of England said that he and his wife of one year, Kate Middleton, are "very keen" on starting a family.

While discussing his future military plans — he's served six years in the Royal Air Force and is considering whether or not to extend his service — William, 29, said that his biggest priority right now is actually starting a family. "More importantly, I'd rather like to have children," he said during ABC's "The Jubilee Queen With Katie Couric" special. "So that's the key thing really."

Elaborating, on the topic of parenting, he said: "I'm just very keen to have a family and both Catherine and I, you know, are looking forward to having a family in the future." Asked if there was any news he wanted to share, he replied coyly: "You won't get anything out of me. Tight lipped."

Since Kate and William married last year, there has been endless speculation about their baby plans. In April, rumors grew that she was expecting, but she doesn't appear to be in the family way. In fact, the 30-year-old duchess is as slender as ever.

When the royal couple does have children, regardless of whether their first-born is male or female, he or she will be in line for the throne. Previously, only first-born males could take the throne. The new law is not yet on the books — the British Parliament must still amend the existing law to make the succession change official.

Prince William isn't the only royal thinking about starting a family. His younger brother, 27-year-old Harry, also expressed a desire to have his own little ones. "I've longed for kids since I was very, very young," Harry, who has a reputation for being more of a free spirit and party boy, told Couric. "And so … I'm waiting to find the right person, someone who's willing to take on the job."

Single after ending his long-term relationship with Chelsy Davy, Harry has been linked to pretty much anyone he's been photographed near over the last year.
