We all know that pregnant women get crazy food cravings, sore feet, and mood swings — but in a hilarious new Funny or Die video, Hilary Duff reveals that they also sprout wild amounts of hair all over their body and face. "After I got pregnant, my hormones caused so much hair growth that I felt like a yeti [a mythical Abominable Snowman-like ape], or Robin Williams," the singer-actress says in the clip, a Proactiv-type commercial for a fictional product called No-Growactiv System, as she is shown washing her mustachioed face. Then, as she stares at the hair on her back in the mirror, she continues, "I was embarrassed to go out of the house. I thought I'd never have clean, hairless skin again!"
Fortunately, Duff, 24, jokes that she discovered No-Growactiv and within 30 days, "you can actually tell I have two eyebrows. I had tried everything to get rid of my unsightly face and body hair — but seriously, who has time to shave their back twice a day?" Instead, the former Disney star says, "I tried electrolysis, plucking," as a montage shows her yanking a wax strip full of hair off her pregnant belly.
Duff and her husband, former NHL hockey player Mike Comrie, will be meeting their little one — a boy — any day now. This past weekend, the couple took a "babymoon" to Montecito, California, where they married in August 2010, for some rest and relaxation before the big arrival. The romantic getaway was "perfect&beautiful," Duff wrote on Twitter, adding, "who knows could be the last weekend it's just the 2 of us."
