Mariah Carey shares personal photos of twin babies Roc and Roe

Dem babies are now dem toddlers!

Mariah Carey has opened up her baby brag book again! The 42-year-old singer has shared some personal photos of her 16-month-old sweethearts, Monroe ("Roe") and Moroccan ("Roc"), on their website, dembabies.com, that were taken over the last six months. In one, the "American Idol" judge, who has said that swimming is her favorite exercise, is holding her two little water bugs in the pool. In another, the children's dad, Nick Cannon, 31, leans down to give Roc a kiss on the cheek. Roc has a big smile on his face while resting a hand on the "America's Got Talent" host's knee.

Two other photos feature a single shot of each child. Roe is looking all movie star glam in a layered red dress, white sandals, and too-cool-for-school shades. She even strikes a diva-like pose, which no doubt she picked up from her famous mom. Meanwhile, Roc — who is clearly taking style tips from his father — is playing peek-a-boo. Too cute!

Of course, Carey won't have as much time to spend with her babies once "American Idol" returns to the airwaves in January. On Sunday morning, it was announced that Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban will be joining Mimi and Randy Jackson on the "Idol" judging panel next season. The quartet got to work right away, too, meeting together (along with the show's host Ryan Seacrest) and posing for their first official photo complete with Coca-Cola cups that same day.

Carey — who performed at an NFL kickoff event earlier this month — has certainly been selective about her work projects since she became a mom because building a family was something she worked on for a long time before it happened. Prior to having the twins in April 2011, the singer suffered a miscarriage, which she later described as a "really dark and difficult" time.

While talking about the twins on ABC's "20/20," Carey described them as "musical," saying that they responded to songs and her singing at a young age. But Cannon added that Roc and Roe have to focus on their education before they even think about careers in showbiz. "I want them to be able to sing as beautifully as their mother. I want them to be able to play instruments and everything. But I want them like … 'Go get a Ph.D," he laughed.

Sounds like dem kiddos are going to be busy.
