Jessica Simpson Debuts Maternity Line

When it comes to the world of fashion, there's not a lot Jessica Simpson hasn't conquered. Her Jessica Simpson Collection features shoes, jeans, dresses, swimwear, jewelry, handbags, perfume, and now ... maternity wear. The new mom, who gave birth to her baby girl Maxwell Drew Johnson on May 1, unveiled her Jessica Simpson Maternity line on Monday. The collection of tops, maxi dresses, denim, jackets, blazers, and sweaters will be available at 700 stores, including Destination Maternity, Motherhood Maternity, and Macy's, at prices beginning at $36 this fall.

Like the designs in her Jessica Simpson Collection, Simpson's maternity looks will be casual chic, featuring basics that can be dressed up or down and have a "vintage '70s feel," according to the press release. "Full of breezy, everyday pieces, the collection is aimed at the modern mom-to-be who wants to maintain her fashion edge throughout her pregnancy." Jessica added that, "I'm so excited to partner with Destination Maternity to design a collection of fashionable styles that make you look and feel great! You want to wear clothes that are flattering to your baby bump; you want to show your bump off." The 31-year-old first-time mom stayed stylish during her pregnancy, often donning sky-high heels and printed dresses that hugged her tummy.

Perhaps the "Fashion Star" mentor will add a line of clothing for little ones to her fashion empire next. Sounds like the fiancee of former footballer Eric Johnson is already obsessed with her newborn daughter's ensembles! "I'm addicted to buying headbands w massive flowers for Maxwell on etsy!" Simpson tweeted. "She is insanely beautiful I can't help but play dress up!" The singer can certainly afford to buy Maxi whatever she wants: her designs are expected to bring in $1 billion this year, she's reported to be earning $3 million from a deal with Weight Watchers to lose the more than 40 pounds she gained during pregnancy, and she reportedly just sold the baby's first pics for $800,000. That's a lot of headbands!
