"Mad Men" maven January Jones has been a pretty mum mom when it comes to her son Xander. The 33-year-old hasn't spoken to the press about her bundle of joy and has never revealed who the little guy's dad is (even, according to reports, on the kid's birth certificate). On Monday, however, January made her first public appearance with her 1-month-old when she brought baby Xander to the Los Angeles set of "Mad Men," as shooting for the fifth season of the retro cable series picked back up.
Crew members oohed and ahhed over the infant, who hung out in his mama's arms, and January's co-star Jon Slattery gave her a great big hug and looked like he couldn't get enough of the littlest Jones. The next day, Xander continued his world explorations when his mom brought him along to a meeting at an office building in L.A.
January looks to be quite the doting mom to her new baby, but her fictional son from the series, Jared Gilmore, who recently left the show, gave a less than glowing review of his TV mother in an August interview with TV Guide. "Be careful around January," the11-year-old said. "She's not as approachable as the others. She's really serious about what she does. Everyone else is so nice."
Another of January's "Mad Men" co-stars, Elisabeth Moss, had nicer things to say. "I think she's going to be a great mom," Moss told Us Weekly shortly after Xander's birth. "She's a very caring and protective person."
