In the middle of a vivacious group of young girls, who were designing their own largely pink articles of clothing, crafting hair accessories, and then parading down a runway for a fashion show, stood the one and only Ben Affleck.
That's right — Jennifer Garner's better half was in charge of taking the couple's two daughters, Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3, to a fashion-themed birthday party at the Cheryl Fudge boutique in Santa Monica, California, on Saturday. At the bash, the girls were guided through the process of making an article of clothing (employees did the sewing for the little ones) as well as an accessory to complement the look. When they were finished, all the mini-fashionistas walked down the runway to show off their new creations.
The girls frequently checked in with Affleck, 39, during the soiree. The father of three snapped photos of them with his cell phone camera — perhaps to send to Garner and their 3-month-old son Samuel, back at home? — and goofed around with them a bit, lifting Seraphina into the air at one point and giving her a piggy back later. Violet carried a bright pink dance bag with her for the occasion that was half the size that she is.

However, the fun for the Afflecks didn't end after the party. The Academy Award winner then took the girls to the Brentwood Country Mart, a favorite spot of the family. Just a few weeks back, Garner and Seraphina were spotted there on an ice cream date.
Affleck has a little down time between projects, which is allowing him to hang more with his family. He has a few films in the can, including "Argo" and "To the Wonder," and it was recently announced that he'll star in the gambling drama "Runner, Runner." In the flick, he plays the dirty boss of an online poker site opposite Justin Timberlake, an ivy league student. When Timberlake's character loses his tuition money gambling on the site, he becomes indebted to Affleck's character.
Not as exciting as a fashion birthday party, but we're sure it will be entertaining, too.
