People all over the world have been bitten by the "Twilight" bug and the timber town of Forks, Washington, couldn't be any happier.
"Twilight" fans can now tour Forks, Washington, the home of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. - Summit Entertainme …
Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" saga -- about a teenage girl who falls in love with a vampire -- is set in the small town of Forks, which is located in the far corner of Washington state's Olympic Peninsula. Unlike Harry Potter's Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy, fans can actually visit the home of Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black. For the past few summers, visitors -- mostly girls with their parents in tow -- have been popping up all over Forks eager to see Charlie and Bella's two-story house, the La Push shores where Jacob and the rest of the Quileute tribe resides, and the magical and pristine Cullen home. As a result, the Forks Chamber of Commerce created "Twilight Tours" for rabid fans and the once sleepy town has become quite a tourist attraction creating more business for local inns, shops, and restaurants. The town's popularity is expected to increase tenfold when the movie adaptation is released in November!
Watch this video to get a glimpse of Forks for yourself and tell me what you think. Everything (like the cliffs where Bella jumped off of to hear Edward's voice and Bella's beat-up red truck) is pretty much as I imagined except for the Cullens' residence. I envisioned the vampires' home to be a big, white, glowing structure in the middle of the forest that's always surrounded by a layer of mist and tall, green trees. The Cullen house featured in the video looks old and unglamorous; definitely not a place where beautiful vampires would live!
