Miley Cyrus is definitely an L.A. lady, with her love for sushi and her laid-back California lifestyle. But this week she's spending some time on the opposite coast as she prepares to make her debut on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend. Musical group The Strokes will provide the tunes.
With just a few days to go before her big night, the former "Hannah Montana" star was spotted shopping for shoes on the chilly streets of NYC Monday. The 18-year-old was all bundled up with a sweater and boots and wearing her hair in trendy braids.
Miley's personal life has been a bit crazy lately -- remember dad Bill Ray's comments to GQ about being "scared" for her future? That can't be easy to deal with, especially at such a young age. Professionally, though, it's been what "SNL" cast member Vanessa Bayer would describe during her impressions of Miley as "pretty cool." Besides the upcoming sketch show, Miley's new movie with Demi Moore and Ashley Greene, "LOL," will hit theaters soon. The teen queen is also filming the comedy-action flick "So Undercover" with Kelly Osbourne.
"Saturday Night Live" airs at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT Saturday on NBC.
