Michael Jackson’s Daughter Paris Plays Softball

It's good to see that while her father Michael Jackson was one of the most famous musicians in the world, 13-year-old Paris Jackson is still able to maintain some sense of normalcy in her life. On Thursday, the athletic teen played in a softball game for the exclusive Buckley School in L.A. that she and her older brother, Prince, 14, attend, and whose famous alumni include Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian. (The Jackson kids also have a 9-year-old brother named Blanket.) Paris was snapped stepping up to home plate for her turn at bat, waiting to catch a ball in the outfield, and even offering a supportive shout-out for her team taking part in a nearby soccer game.

But while her dad always wanted to keep her out of the spotlight, Paris seems determined to stay there. She plans to become an actress, a vocation she ironically chose because of her father, and has already been cast in the big-screen version of children's book, Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys. "My dad was in the movie 'Moonwalker' and I knew he could sing really well, but I didn't know he could act," she revealed to Ellen DeGeneres on "Ellen" last month. "I saw that and I said, 'Wow, I want to be just like him.'"

Before the movie, though, Paris is expected to make an appearance during yet another tribute to her legendary pop. She and her brothers will use Jackson's signature sequined glove and his shoes to add imprints of his hands and feet to the collection at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on January 26.
