Madonna and Lola Search for Their ‘Lucky Stars’

Think you've got what it takes to be a Material Girl? Madonna and daughter Lourdes Leon, who goes by Lola, are looking for fresh faces to appear in the 2012 spring campaign for their junior clothing line for Macy's. Here's how their search will work: The company will have five casting calls at Macy's stores around the country, beginning November 2, where girls will be judged by a panel that includes "Fashion Police" star and Material Girl spokeswoman Kelly Osbourne. Next, fans of the line will vote on the 36 who make it through that phase via the Material Girl website beginning November 21. Finally, the top 10 will be flown to New York City to meet Madonna and, oh yes, compete for a chance to be the face of the line!

"This is not your standard model search," both Madonna and Lola were quoted as saying in their press release. "It's more about attitude. We are looking for a stylish, adventurous, creative free spirit. We're both looking forward to meeting the 10 finalists in New York in December."

And it's happening fast!

Here's the schedule of when the panel's coming to Macy's stores:

  • Herald Square, New York -- 5 p.m. November 2

  • Dadeland, Miami -- 6 p.m. November 4

  • State Street, Chicago -- 5:30 p.m. November 8

  • Union Square, San Francisco — 2 p.m. November 12

  • Beverly Center, Los Angeles -- 2 p.m. November 19

Besides meeting Madonna, the "Lucky Stars" -- that's what they're calling the winners! -- will each be part of print, in-store, and billboard ads, plus they'll get to pocket a cool $5,000. Get all the details at www.materialgirlcollection.com, and good luck!
