It's hard enough being a teenager, let alone one whose life is played out on TV for millions of people every week -- oh, and whose older sisters just happen to be the mega-famous Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian. But Kendall and Kylie Jenner have managed to maintain level heads despite the paparazzi, modeling gigs, and millions of Twitter followers. Their secret? "They are so down-to-earth," Kim tells Teen Vogue of the magazine's March cover girls. "It's just who they are, and they will never change."

It helps that Kendall, 16, and Kylie, 14, both attend school regularly and are involved in extracurricular activities, which for Kendall includes cheerleading. "We had a [football] game," she tells the TV interviewer excitedly. "We won. We're undefeated so far." The willowy teen also jokes that her friends on the squad refer to her as "Cheer Mom" because "when we make those big banners for football games, I'm the one to say, 'Do this, do that; use this color, use that color.' Not, like, in a mean way. But I just like things in order. I'm a perfectionist."

Being the youngest two in an extended family that includes 10 children (dad Bruce has four from two previous marriages, plus mom Kris' four with ex Robert Kardashian), Kendall and Kylie also have plenty of watchful eyes following their every move -- so they can't really act out even if they wanted to. "[They] are like my babies," says Khloe. "I literally raised them, and I make sure I'm still very involved in their lives. I have access to all of their social media outlets. They are not allowed to have Twitter or Facebook unless I have the password. I'm very protective, but in doing that they also feel like they can talk to me about anything, and they do."

Another perk of having all those famous sisters: designer hand-me-downs. During the interview, Kendall sports a pair of jeans outgrown by her sister Kourtney. And there's plenty of brand new clothes, too, which they house in their recently-remodeled closets described as "posh boutiques, each one nearly the size of a New York City studio apartment … think rows of shoes, walls of jewelry, dozens of purses, bins of scarves and beanies, and drawers that hold enough sunglasses to make Rihanna jealous."

But when it comes to their personal styles, the two sisters could not be more different. "Kylie is more rocker, and Kendall is more tomboyish," says Kim. And that's obvious when the girls show off their favorite pieces in their closets. "I like to be comfortable and casual," shares Kendall as she holds up a dress from H&M and a leather jacket, while Kylie proudly shows off a pair of sky-high studded Christian Louboutins heels. "I'm more laid-back than Kylie," notes Kendall. "In school, I'll wear jeans, a sweatshirt, and Uggs, and she'll wear, like, this whole ensemble that she put together the night before."

Despite the differences in their personalities and style, the teenage sisters get along surprisingly well. But it wasn't always that way. "We used to fight, like, three times a day," Kendall reveals. "We'd punch each other, kick each other, pull each other's hair. It was so bad." Now the two are learning to enjoy each other's company -- and that of their huge family. "I love having so many people you can turn to," smiles Kendall. Adds Kylie, "You always have someone there for you."
