Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone Adopt a Dog for Christmas

Spider-Man is a bit more domestic this holiday season – Andrew Garfield and his real-life Gwen Stacy, Emma Stone, have a new addition. They’ve reportedly adopted a new dog.

People reports that the couple of just over a year first met their new addition, a 2-year-old female golden retriever named Ren, on Saturday. They later brought her home for a test run as a foster pet before officially adopting her on Christmas Eve. Ren was reportedly rescued by dog rescue animal group Saving SPOT! (part of SPOT! pet boutique) from a high-kill-rate shelter in Downey, California.

"She was one of the dogs they first saw, but they weren't sure," a source tells People. "They left and they couldn't stop thinking about her, so they came back for her. And it's true love."

JustJared first reported last Saturday that the couple was looking at taking home a pup.

"She won the doggie lottery," People’s source continues. The dog is reportedly, “Very, very sweet and loving. They totally fell in love with her."

The couple better get in their bonding time with their new four-legged friend soon. “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” to be directed again by Marc Webb and set to star Jamie Foxx as villain Electro, reportedly could start shooting as early as this February. The sequel is slated for release on May 2, 2014.
