Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's six children aren't often seen in the spotlight, and the two stars have typically remained quiet about their family — until now. Jolie opened up in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly about how they don't want their kids to follow in their footsteps.
"We think it's fun for our kids to have cameos and join us on set, but not to be actors," the actress revealed. "That's not the goal for Brad and me at all. I think we would both prefer that they didn't become actors."
Even though the 38-year-old actress would like to steer her children in a different career path than her own, Jolie's 5-year-old daughter, Vivienne, plays young princess Aurora in her mom's upcoming flick, "Maleficent." The actress revealed to EW the reason behind the role.
"She was 4 at the time, and other 3- and 4-year-old [actors] really wouldn't come near me … it had to be a child that really liked me and wasn't afraid of my horns and my eyes and my claws. So it had to be Viv."
But Vivienne isn't the only Jolie-Pitt kid to make an appearance in the film. Ten-year-old Pax and 9-year-old Zahara also have cameos during the christening scene. But it took some time for the children to get used to their mom's costume as the villainess.
“When Pax saw me for the first time, he ran away and got upset. ... I had to take off pieces [of the makeup] in front of him to show him it was all fake and not freak out so much.”
Well, we certainly hope that the movie screening for "Maleficent" will be a family affair. Check out this video to see Vivienne's acting debut, and tune in to "The Insider" for the latest in entertainment news.
