Sir Patrick Stewart marries Sunny Ozell. (Twitter)

Captain Picard is off the market!

Sir Patrick Stewart married his longtime girlfriend, Brooklyn singer and songwriter Sunny Ozell, 35, and it appears that his much younger bride makes him feel like a kid again! The 73-year-old star tweeted a photo of he and his wife in a ball pit (at what looks like a children's fun zone) on September 8 with the caption, "Yes, married."

The pair, who have been dating since 2009, said "I do" on September 7 beside Northern California's Lake Tahoe in front of nearly 100 guests, including friends and family. The bride wore a white French lace dress by English designer, Temperley London, for her walk down the aisle. Ozell tweeted a photo on September 7 of her perfectly pedicured toes in the water at the lake on the day of her wedding.

On September 5, she posted a Vine video to her Twitter account of the breathtaking lakeside location where she can be seen playing in the waves.

Sir Ian McKellen officiates. (Instagram)

In March, Stewart's longtime pal and co-star in the "X-Men" franchise, Sir Ian McKellen, revealed he would marry the pair during an appearance on the U.K.'s popular "Jonathan Ross Show."

"I am going to marry Patrick," McKellen announced. "Well, no -- how else do you put that? I am going to officiate at his wedding." Asked how he's legally qualified to preside over the couple's nuptials, McKellen replied, laughing: "I don't know. But in Massachusetts, or in the middle of America somewhere, you get a friend along, and I read out the words, and Sunny and Patrick will then be married."

It appears that McKellen delivered on his promise, as he posted a photo to Facebook, where he is holding up a minister shirt and saluting the couple, with the caption, "I did my part."

This is Stewart's third marriage. He was previously married to Sheila Falconer from 1966-1990 and Wendy Neuss from 2000-2003.

Do you think his ball-filled Twitpic is the most unusual wedding announcement we've seen yet?
