Running into an ex can be pretty awkward and uncomfortable, but when Sarah Silverman dropped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Thursday night to promote her HBO comedy special, "We Are Miracles," the funny exes proved that a little humor goes a long way.
"Isn't this like weird, but good weird? This is human nature. This is the way life is," Silverman said. "People break up, and exes are gonna bump into each other. They're gonna cross paths. They're gonna be on each other's talk shows, you know? It's the cycle of life."
"It's very natural," Kimmel laughed.
Silverman kicked off the interview by bringing out a box labeled "Jimmy's Stuff" that included some old socks, an old phone charger, a pair of jeans from before Kimmel lost weight, and a fake love child!
But this isn't the first time Silverman has stopped by the show since their breakup.
The two dated on and off for five years, calling it quits for good in 2009, but they've stayed amicable and it shows. After the couple split for the first time in 2008, Silverman went on Kimmel's show and the two poked fun at their breakup with mock moments of awkward silence followed by questions like "Did you make sweet love to anyone while we were apart?"
