Kate Winslet and husband Ned Rocknroll are expecting their first child together, a rep for the actress confirms to People magazine.
“Kate and Ned are delighted” over the news, her rep said in a statement. Winslet, 37, has two children - daughter Mia, 12, and son Joe, 9 - from her previous marriage to "Skyfall" director Sam Mendes. The two split in 2010.
The Oscar winner wed Rocknroll, 34, in a secret ceremony this past December after dating a little over a year. Rocknroll is the nephew of Sir Richard Branson.
“I’ve really learnt a great deal about myself, in the last four years in particular,” Winslet told Harpers Bazaar U.K. in March. Before Mendes, the "Titanic" actress was also married to Jim Threapleton from 1998 to 2001.
Winslet always knew she wanted another child.
“I’m hoping to have more kids,” Winslet told InStyle in 2006. “I don’t know whether one or two. Oh, God, I would love to have more.”
Winslet has recently been in Chicago working on the film version of the popular young adult novel "Divergent" -- expected by many to be the next "Twilight" or "Hunger Games" series. The film co-stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Maggie Q, and Zoe Kravitz.
Congrats to Kate and Ned!
