Robin Thicke seems to be one of the only people who hasn't yet weighed in on Miley Cyrus's racy stage antics while they performed together at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards. But while photographed Wednesday in Miami, the "Blurred Lines" singer seemed to send a message without saying a word.

The 36-year-old crooner went from getting grinded on and kissed by Cyrus, 20, to a family vacation with his actress wife, Paula Patton, and their son.

Photos showed Patton, 37, showing off her fit body in a string bikini, and a fully clothed Thicke with their 3-year-old, Julian, frolicking in the surf.

The sweet family moment was a sharp contrast to how we saw Thicke at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, with Cyrus smooching his neck and bending over suggestively in front of him. Everyone seems to have weighed in on the over-the-top performance, including his parents, but the star himself hasn't. However, seeing him in his regular role as a family guy with his high school sweetheart wife and adorable son seems to indicate that he's not all that concerned with the buzz.

As for what his parents said, his mom, actress Gloria Loring, was surprised by the whole thing, though with Cyrus, not her son.

"I just keep thinking of her mother and father watching this. Oh, Lord, have mercy," Loring told "omg! Insider" after the show. "I was not expecting her to be putting her butt that close to my son. The problem is now I can never 'unsee' it. ... Him? Loved it. I love that suit, the black and white suit. I don't understand what Miley Cyrus is trying to do. I just don't understand. I think she's misbegotten in this attempt of hers."

Meanwhile, Thicke's dad, "Growing Pains" alum Alan Thicke, didn't seem fazed by the controversy.

"Parents still bemoaning VMAs might have had a clue when Gaga bared butt in opening," he tweeted on Monday. "Good time to lock up your children?!"

And while Patton hasn't said anything, she's not against pushing the envelope. She is the one who suggested the models in the "Blurred Lines" video drop their tops and dance around with her hubby for a second explicit version of the vid.

Knowing that makes it seem like a girl dancing around onstage in a bikini sound slightly conservative, doesn't it?
