Purim Perfection: Madonna Channels 'Game of Thrones' Character Khaleesi

Madonna is no stranger to dressing up on stage, but this weekend she swapped her provocative ensembles for a whimsical number to celebrate the religious festival of Purim.

The "Material Girl" dressed up as Khaleesi from "Game of Thrones" for a Purim party on Saturday.

Madge, 55, posted a photo of her costume on Instagram with the caption, "Happy Purim!!!!! All Hail All Queens! ##certainty."

The Queen of Pop looked nearly identical to the Queen of the Dragons from the hit HBO show. Khaleesi, who is played by actress Emilia Clarke, is known for her striking platinum blond locks, leather warrior ensemble, and for carrying several dragons on her shoulders. Madonna nailed the look with a wig and an elaborate costume, complete with two dragons.

Later, she posted a photo of herself with a man dressed up as Jesus. She captioned the snap, "I've got a friend in Jesus! #revolutionoflove."

The Jewish festival of Purim, which is observed every year on the 14th of the Hebrew month Adar, is often marked by celebrations where people dress up in costumes and attend masquerades. Madonna has been practicing the religion of Kabbalah since 1996.

Clearly, the songbird is enjoying the celebrations this year.
