The bloom is off the rose. After three years of marriage, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are going their separate ways.

Reps for couple confirmed their split to omg!. "In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months. After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation."

The statement continued, "Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."

In only what can be described as unfortunate timing, Bloom was scheduled to appear on "Live With Kelly and Michael" hours after his split made headlines. Ever the professional, he honored his commitment and was cheerful during his interview. The hosts didn't ask him about his separation — and he didn't offer any details. However, he did talk about their son, Flynn.

The 36-year-old British actor, who is currently appearing on Broadway in "Romeo and Juliet," and the 30-year-old Australian model began dating in 2007. They tied the knot in July 2010 and welcomed their only child in January 2011.

The couple has been plagued by breakup rumors over the years, so we were happy to see them photographed appearing openly affectionate and looking closer than ever at the opening of Bloom's "Romeo and Juliet" on Broadway on September 19. At the time we remarked that the couple, "who are so rarely spotted at public events together (the last was an Oscars party!), broke tradition and mugged for the cameras practically draped over each other."

However, according to their own timeline, they were already separated at that point. Kerr also kept any troubles at home a secret when being interviewed for the November cover story in Cosmopolitan magazine.

"I'm not the boss like I am at work — I slip into a more feminine role," she said of their home life together. "I take everything off and put on my Stella McCartney silk robe. I'll put on a red lip or red nails, and it lifts my mood. Sexy underwear also gives you a spark. I collect underwear from my travels. Lace, lingerie, bodysuits ... they're like souvenirs."

When omg! interviewed Kerr over the summer, we asked her what she does to cheer herself up when she's going through a rough time.

"Oh, you know what I do? I'm starting a movement called 'Jump for Joy,'" beamed Kerr, who runs Kora, an organic skincare line. "If anyone's in a bad mood, you jump for joy to get out of it. Even my son says to me — if he sees me all flustered around the house — 'Mama, Mama: jump for joy!' And I'm like: 'Oh, that's right. OK. And then we start jumping."

"When you're jumping, you just think of everything that you're grateful for and it helps get you out of that [funk], you know?" she continued. "If you're not in the present moment and you're too concerned about whatever it might be that's worrying you at the time, it's good to just get into the present by jumping for joy."

We imagine lots of little jumps are helping her get through this difficult time.
