It was a night beyond imagination.

Ron Howard hosted the premiere of Canon's Project Imaginat10n Film Festival on Thursday at Lincoln Center in Manhattan and omg! was there for all the festivities. The evening began with the screening of short films — directed by Jamie Foxx, Eva Longoria, Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman, musician James Murphy, Twitter co-founder Biz Stone, and five contest winners — and ended with a reception for 500 guests.

Movie theater treats — popcorn, Gummy Bears, Jujyfruits, and Good & Plentys, naturally — were passed out on the way into the screening, which took place in front of a packed house in Alice Tully Hall. And when the entertaining array of mini-movies, which were inspired by user-submitted photographs, ended (Longoria kicked some serious butt in her fun action flick while Foxx infused his trademark humor into his), guests exited the theater to find the reception area had been transformed into a fun party spot. Black leather couches and white tables were brought in, bars were set up, and music was pumping.

As glasses of white wine and sparkling mineral water with lime were passed out, Longoria, who had on a strapless burgundy Marchesa cocktail dress with beading at the neckline (the brand was well-represented, you'll see) — was surrounded by well-wishers congratulating her on her film, which she directed and starred in and featured tons of cool stunts. (The "Desperate Housewives" alum said when she moved to Hollywood, she really wanted to be a stuntwoman, but it didn't pan out "because I'm 5 feet tall.") She was greeted with a hug and kiss from LaLa Anthony, and hung out with "Prison Break" star Amaury Nolasco, who played her husband in her film "Out of the Blue." The brunette beauty also chatted with some of the young children who appeared in the films, sweetly bending down so she could be face to face with them.

Foxx, who looked sharp in all black, also celebrated the evening with actors in his short film, "…And She Was My Eve." He talked about casting Tyrin Turner, who he has admired since he appeared in 1993's "Menace II Society," and how hard Turner worked to get buff for the role, which required him to be shirtless. "I can't say enough about Tyrin getting in shape for the movie. You'll see," Foxx said when introducing his film. "Feel free to yell and all that kind of thing." Alicia Keys also stopped by to support her old friend.

Bledel must have been feeling camera shy. 'Mad Men's' Kartheiser posed solo. (Getty Images for Canon's Project …

The film fest was a date night for "Mad Men" co-stars Vincent Kartheiser and Alexis Bledel. While the betrothed couple didn't pose together on the red carpet (she skipped it altogether), they stuck close inside, walking around the party holding hands, whispering to one another, and smiling a lot. The only time we saw them apart throughout the entire night was when Kartheiser, who is still sporting that very un-Pete Campbell-like beard, had to cross the packed room to get his trench from coat check. But before he did, he handed her a phone and she was texting while she waited. At one point the "Gilmore Girls" actress — who was wearing a black and white dress, black blazer and heels, and had her hair styled up — posed for a photo with a fan, but she also found herself scattering when a group photo was being taken in front of her and she didn't want to be photobombing in the background.

Chapman looked incredible as usual in one of her own creations, which was a black dress with gorgeous embroidery and off-the-shoulder sleeves. She also had on Christian Louboutin pumps — a no-brainer as she also often says, "All a girl ever really needs are Louboutin and Marchesa." The "Project Runway All Stars" judge (Season 3 debuted while she was at the party) was flanked by family for her directorial debut, "A Dream of Flying," a magical story which spanned the lifetime of a girl and a boy. In addition to Chapman's mother, her husband, Harvey Weinstein, was there. The Weinstein Company honcho knew many folks in the room and walked around chatting with them.

The prize-winning photos decorated the room.

Another "Mad Men" sighting was Abigail Spencer, who appeared in the film "Here and Now," a sweet tale about the ups-and-downs of relationships. The brunette — who wore, yes, Marchesa, but also some really cool sparkle-heeled shoes — chatted with her on-screen husband, "The Social Network's" Josh Pence.

Other famous guests — who were served delicious snacks like lobster ravioli, braised beef short ribs, and parmesan crusted chicken breast — included Bryce Dallas Howard, who helped her father judge the films, "Suits" star Tom Lipinski, Lane Garrison, and Dree Hemingway. And many partygoers weren't household names … yet. They included many of the 91 photographers whose prize-winning photos inspired the films. The evening ended as sweetly as it started with guests being served Limoncello tiramisu, beignets with powdered sugar, and carrot cake and devil's food cake whoopie pies before they headed off into the city streets.
