Miley Cyrus Breaks Her Silence on VMA Performance

Yahoo Celebrity

Miley Cyrus is finally speaking out about her controversial MTV Video Music Awards performance. Sitting down with MTV News as a part of her upcoming documentary, the 19-year-old admitted she doesn't exactly see what all the hype was for.

"What's amazing is I think now, we're three days later and people are still talking about it," Miley admitted. "They're over thinking it. You're thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did it. Like, I didn't even think about it 'cause that's just me!"

It may have been just Miley being Miley, but her appearance on the awards show is something people can't unsee. And, surprisingly, the former "Hannah Montana" star doesn't think her antics were as racy as those of the pop stars before her.

"Madonna's done it. Britney's done it. Every VMA performance, everyone that performs. That's what they're looking for; you're wanting to make history, me and Robin the whole time said 'You know we're about to make history right now.'"
