Did somebody order pizza? It's been a quarter of a century since Madonna and Sean Penn divorced, but it seems the pop icon still has a soft spot in her heart for her ex.

On Monday, Madge honored Sean's 54th birthday by serving up a snapshot of her 14-year-old son, Rocco Ritchie, dressed as one of Penn's most famous characters: surfer Jeff Spicoli from the 1982 coming-of-age comedy, Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Penn was 22 when the cult classic film was first released.

Donning a brightly colored Hawaiian shirt tied into a crop-top and a somewhat dazed expression, Rocco (whose father is director Guy Ritchie) appears to have captured the essence of Spicoli. He even has the sun-kissed, flowing locks — though he's been catching his rays on the French Riviera instead of in between classes at a California high school (not that one is necessarily better than the other).

"Jeff Spicoli is alive and well in the South of France! #boom #fuzzy" the Material Girl declared next to the shot.

Madonna and Penn have been on good terms for years, and have been spotted together a number of times, including during a trip to Haiti, where Rocco and Sean were even photographed together.

The singer certainly seems to be enjoying her vacation, which she's spent with her teenage kids Rocco and Lourdes (who recently graduated high school!) as well as her younger, adopted children, David and Mercy.

It's also worth noting that Madonna's 56th birthday was Aug. 16 — the day before Penn's — and she celebrated her latest trip around the sun in style. Over the weekend, the mogul partied the night away at a 1920s-style soiree at a sumptuous villa in Cannes. From the looks of her Instagram feed, the bash featured feather-clad dancers and a giant, illuminated "M," and the birthday girl had a grand ol' time hanging out with Kate Moss... not that we'd expect anything less.

But even Madge dressed to the nines can't top her son dressed as Spicoli. We may never know whether Sean fully appreciates the awesomeness of the birthday tribute, but that's OK. We certainly do.
