A little over a month after checking in, troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has checked out of the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California, where she had begun her 90-day court ordered treatment, and is being transferred to the Cliffside Malibu rehab facility in Malibu, California, according to court documents obtained by "omg! Insider."

TMZ was the first to report the news.

The reason for the transfer remains unclear. TMZ and People report that she transferred because Betty Ford primarily offers 30-day treatment programs, while Cliffside's programs are geared towards accommodating longer-term stays.

However, Fox News reported that Lohan was having "several problems" at Betty Ford, but did not go so far as to report the nature of those problems.

If the Fox News report is true, it won't have been the first time that Lohan has had problems at the Betty Ford Center. Back in 2010, when she was briefly enrolled in the facility, she reportedly got into a physical altercation with a female staff member who was later reportedly fired for talking about the incident with the media.

Both Santa Monica City prosecuting attorney Terry White and Judge James Dabney have reportedly signed off on the transfer.

Omg! has reached out to Lohan's attorney, Shawn Holley, as well as White, and both the Betty Ford Center and Cliffside Malibu, but has not yet received responses.

As was widely covered, Lohan caused quite the kerfuffle back on May 2 when the 26-year-old originally checked in to the Morningside Recovery center in Newport Beach, California, and then checked right out (after rehiring her long-time attorney, Shawn Holley) opting for Betty Ford instead, and claiming she left Morningside because "she didn't feel safe" there.

In addition to her mandatory 90-day lock down rehab sentence, which must be completed by July 31, Lohan is also required to complete 30 days of community service and 18 months of psychological counseling as part of her sentencing stemming from her June 2012 reckless driving incident.
