That was warm-up comic Brody Stevens's mantra to the filled-to-capacity audience in Studio 1 on the Universal Studios back lot, as the less than 48 hours out of rehab actress prepared for her appearance to guest host "Chelsea Lately."
The 150+ audience members were upbeat and excited as they waited for the tabloid target to take the stage. Security was high, no cell phones were allowed, and executives flanked the walls. The taping was scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m., and at 4:22 p.m., tentative and seeming shy, Lindsay took the stage dressed in black with red-hair combed to the side. The audience burst into applause, Lindsay laughed, and the show began.
Round table panelists included "Chelsea Lately" regulars Brad Wollack, Fortune Feimster, and Jen Kirkman.
Lindsay soon loosened up and proceed in a self-deprecating manner, but also dished out the jokes on topics ranging from Bieber putting a fan's phone down his pants, to the gay community protesting Russian vodka.
The 27-year-old's confidence seemed to build throughout the taping. Before taping her goodbyes, Lindsay shot a bunch of promos poking fun of herself.
Lindsay Lohan's guest-hosting gig on E!'s "Chelsea Lately" airs on Monday, August 5. "omg! Insider" will have all te details on Friday, August 2, along with eyewitness accounts.
