Drama involving Lohans and Hiltons sounds so 2006, but — believe us — this is all new.
Barron Hilton, the younger brother of Paris, was assaulted at a house party early Friday morning on posh Star Island in Miami during the Art Basel festivities. A photo he posted on Instagram after the attack showed several deep lacerations around his nose, eyes, and on his forehead.
According a police report from the incident obtained by "omg! Insider," the 24-year-old said he attended an afterparty on the exclusive islet, where celebrity homeowners have included everyone from Sean Combs to Rosie O'Donnell. While there, Barron became "involved in a verbal altercation" with a man who wanted him to leave the premises. He was then "struck in the face with an unknown object." When police were called, the suspect fled in a green SUV, and Barron refused treatment from emergency responders on the scene.
Here's where Lindsay Lohan may or may not come in. According to initial reports, the man who hit Barron was possibly a LiLo pal, who was somehow carrying out orders on the actress's behalf. TMZ obtained video of Barron confronting Lindsay the morning after the incident — though she sped off before it escalated so it's unclear what the exchange was even about. And a comment Paris, who has long had a love/hate thing going on with Lindsay stemming back to the mid-2000s, posted on Instagram seemed to play into that theory. She wrote, "They both will pay for what they did. No one f----- with my family and gets away with it!!" (Nicky Hilton posted something similar: "Bad things happen when you hang out with bad people.")
However, the suspect in question — a New Yorker named Ray Lemoine, who's a fixture on the Manhattan nightlife scene — said Lindsay had nothing to do with the drama. Through a rep, he told TMZ that the altercation occurred when Barron refused to leave the house, which Lemoine and friends had rented, early Friday morning. When Barron was confronted and urged to vacate the premises, he reportedly pulled the old, "Do you know who I am?" card, and that's when things became physical.
Lindsay, who certainly doesn't need any more legal trouble after having completed a court-ordered stint in rehab earlier this year (instead of three months of jail time for two misdemeanor convictions and a shoplifting probation violation), has her family rushing to her defense in the drama. Her mother, Dina, told Newsday that initial reports that Lindsay was somehow involved were "not based on fact." Meanwhile, her dad, Michael, told Gossip Cop that Lindsay "was not even at the house at the time of the fight." Adding, "I give Lindsay a lot of credit for removing herself [from] this situation."
Everyone seems to have commented on the brouhaha at this point except for Lindsay herself. Her Twitter feed shows some sexy poolside photos from her trip to Miami, including one in which she's doing a yoga pose (so zen!), and the only other post was to promote her little sister's new YouTube channel.
