Lady Gaga Celebrates 28th Birthday at James Franco's Broadway Show

James Franco had a very special guest in the audience at his Broadway performance of "Of Mice and Men" on Saturday night.

Lady Gaga, and her boyfriend, "Chicago Fire" actor Taylor Kinney, showed up to support the 35-year-old thesp and Franco seemed thrilled to have the encouragement from his pal. He snapped a photo with her backstage and captioned it, "LADY GAGA CAME AND LOVED IT! OF MICE AND MEN!!! COME! #ladygaga."

The "Born This Way" singer, who was celebrating her 28th birthday, donned a pink dress, fishnet tights, and a matching hat for the show. She finished off her theater look with a pair of wild pink booties, a silver wig, and a puppy purse.

It looks like Gaga had a great time, too! She tweeted a series of snaps about her evening and thanked her fans for their birthday wishes.

Mother Monster's seal of approval could mean big things for Franco's show, which opens on April 16 and co-stars "Bridesmaids" actor Chris O'Dowd. The show is already off to a stellar start in its first week of previews and grossed a solid $688,832.

Gaga and Franco seem to have struck up quite the friendship. On Friday, the "Palo Alto" actor attended her concert at the Roseland Ballroom in New York, which was her actual birthday. The duo posed for a picture backstage at her concert, which he captioned "HAPPY BDAY, GaGA!!!!"
