L’Wren Scott’s Funeral Attended by Mick Jagger, Family, and Friends
Fashion designer L’Wren Scott was laid to rest among her family and friends at the famous Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Scott, the girlfriend of Mick Jagger for the last 13 years, was found dead in her Manhattan apartment on March 17. The New York City medical examiner’s office ruled the 49-year-old's death a suicide by hanging last week.
Jagger, 70, and many of his family members joined a private ceremony with 60 invited guests, including friend and patron Nicole Kidman, Kidman’s husband Keith Urban, singer Bryan Adams, and actress Ellen Barkin.

A rep for Jagger told Yahoo that the Rev. Ed Bacon of the All Saints Church in Pasadena led the ceremony. Jagger spoke to the intimate crowd as did Scott’s brother, Randy Bambrough. Jagger’s daughters Karis, 43, and Jade, 42, both participated, reading a poem and Psalm 19, respectively. Jagger’s grandchildren, Mazie and Zak, reportedly read Psalm 23, and Scott's niece, Hannah Bambrough, read Shakespeare's Sonnet 18.
Singer Bernard Fowler, a backing vocalist for the Rolling Stones, and former Eurythmics guitarist Dave Stewart performed the folk song, "Will the Circle Be Unbroken?” A source told the New York Daily News that the service was understandably "emotional." Jagger was "visibly upset" when Bambrough spoke.

Jagger and the Rolling Stones canceled the Australian leg of their tour following Scott’s death. The famous frontman also released a heartbreaking statement: "I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way,” he wrote. "We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves. She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me. I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received. I will never forget her, Mick.”
