Love, fashion, and the Jenner sisters collided when celebs – not models – kicked off New York Fashion Week in sizzling red frocks at the Heart Truth Red Dress show on Wednesday night. We caught up with the some of the ladies taking part in the annual event backstage to get the scoop on the big night, which aims to raise awareness for women’s heart disease.

Though Kendall and Kylie Jenner skipped the red carpet interviews, the siblings worked the runway like a couple of old pros in their Badgley Mischka gowns. The celebutantes, only 17 and 15 years old, showed off their sisterly bond by holding hands as they pranced to Justin Bieber’s “Beauty and the Beat.”

Their mom, Kris Jenner, also participated in the event, but let her girls have the stage to themselves. However she did cram in a photo op with her youngest children, giving them a quick squeeze at center stage.

“Fashion Police” co-host Kelly Osbourne also strutted her stuff on the catwalk, tossing up her dad’s infamous “rock on” hand signs as she made her way down the stage. The 28-year-old dished that she was actually wearing a pair of heels that were a half-size too small and was “f***ing nervous” to model her Zac Posen gown. But when the crowd went wild for her she showed no signs of distress. Perhaps it was because her boyfriend, Matthew Mosshart, gave his leading lady a cute golf clap as she worked it?

Olympic gymnastics champion Gabby Douglas proved that for her, walking in a fashion show is as simple as doing tricks on a balance beam! The 17-year-old told omg! that while she doesn't have a boyfriend this Valentine's Day, she’d settle for falling in love with her Pamella Roland fishtail gown.

“I got fitted for my dress," Douglas smiled. "I had someone doing my nails, my hair, my makeup. I felt like a Barbie! I loved it.”

Douglas posted a pic of her and fellow gymnast Nastia Liukin backstage at the event noting how beautiful Liukin looked. We’re pretty sure her rumored boyfriend, Olympic figure skating champion Evan Lysacek – who sat front row sporting a dashing smile – also took notice of how Liukin in her dazzling Reem Acra dress and Christian Louboutin heels.

When it comes to love, Liukin told omg!, “It is really important to find somebody … that you can trust, that you have faith in, that you love because those are the people who are going to be by your side for the rest of your life.” Awww!

The audience was abuzz with whispers when “Once Upon a Time” star Jamie Chung hit the runway in a backless, burgundy David Meister gown. Sadly, we didn’t see her actor beau Bryan Greenberg anywhere, but Chung revealed that they already have their V-Day plans set.

“My boyfriend is flying in, so we’ll be spending Valentine’s Day in Austin, Texas, [where I am working right now]," Chung said. Though she is in a happy relationship, she did admit that her celebrity crush is Ryan Gosling. “He’s just so yummy,” she gushed.

Also looking dressed up in love was Minka Kelly, who said she was proud to parade around in her Oscar de la Renta frock to raise awareness about heart disease, noting that people don’t realize that heart disease is the number one cause of death for women.

“I want to be around for a really long time. I want a grandchild and to see them grow. It is important to me," she shared. “I exercise every day. I do anything to just get my heart pumping. Anything is better than just sitting on the couch … I like to take hip-hop dance classes.”

Other stars who hit the runway for the cause were Brenda Strong, Savannah Guthrie, Wendy Williams, Roselyn Sanchez, Soledad O’Brien, Toni Braxton, Torah Bright, Jillian Michaels, and Cindy Parsons.

Let’s hear it for the ladies!
