Kelly Osbourne Desperate to Remove Foot From Mouth

Kelly Osbourne might want to rethink her next political attack. During an appearance on The View on Tuesday, the lavender-haired star took aim at presidential candidate frontrunner Donald Trump but she was the one who ended up under fire. Thankfully, she's doing everything she can to turn it around.

Referring to Trump's polarizing comments about Mexican immigrants being rapists and murderers, the 30-year-old quipped, "If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?"

Um, what?! You could hear the immediate horror of the View co-hosts, most notably Rosie Perez.

"In the sense that… you know what I mean? But I'm saying that in L.A., they always…" Osbourne trailed off as Perez jumped in.

"There's more jobs than that in the country for Latinos and Latinos are not the only people who clean toilets," Rosie said.

The Fashion Police alum was quick to back-pedal. "No, I didn't mean it like that! Come on! I would never mean it like that!" she declared before insisting, "I'm not part of this argument."

"I think what you're saying is that Trump himself probably relies on a lot of these people that he's insulting," Michelle Collins chimed in, a clear attempt to smooth things over.

But this is hardly the first time the outspoken star has been at the center of a comment kerfuffle. Just six months ago, Osbourne took former Fashion Police co-host to task for remarking that Zendaya's Oscar dreadlocks made her look as if she smelled like "patchouli and weed." In fact, that fight got pretty nasty, and before it was over (we think it's finally over), Osbourne posted a cryptic tweet, which seemed to imply that Rancic was a liar. In the aftermath of the feud, Osbourne quit the show.

Long before that debacle, however, Ozzy Osbourne's daughter was well aware that being so vocal could lead to problems for her. "When you're not famous, you're allowed to have an opinion, but when you are famous, you're not allowed to have one, and I don't agree with that rule and I have a big mouth and I get myself in trouble," she told Anderson Cooper back in 2012.

Though Kelly didn't seem quick to forgive Giuliana for her gaffe, Perez seemed to get over it pretty quickly and, at the end of the show, she took a moment to make things right. "I want to apologize to this young woman once again for being overly sensitive," the co-host said. "Kelly Osbourne is on our side and I was sensitive. My disdain should go to only Donald Trump, so I'm sorry, darling."

For her part, Kelly told Perez the apology wasn't the least bit necessary. "You don't have to apologize to me," she said. "I love you, Rosie."

Rosie followed up her on-air apology with a tweet:

Shortly after Rosie apologized to Kelly, Kelly apologized to the rest of us. "I want to start by saying I ALWAYS take responsibility for my actions. In this particular case I will take responsibility for my poor choice of words but I will not apologize for being a racist as I am NOT," she said in a statement. "I whole-hearted[ly] f--ked up today. I don't want to bulls--t anyone with lame excuses. Although, I was stopped mid-sentence by Rosie and couldn't finish my point I will not let Rosie take responsibility for my words."

She continued on, insisting that she would grow from her mistake. "I should have known better as I was on The View and it was live. I've learned a very valuable lesson. It is my hope that this situation will open up a conversation about immigration and the Latin community as a whole," she said before adding, "By the way, I clean my own f--king toilets."

And there you have it, an apology, Osbourne-style.
