Kaley Cuoco’s Big Week: She’s Shatner’s Daughter and Hostess With the Mostest!

Kaley Cuoco is having a big week. Not only did the “Big Bang Theory” star host the People’s Choice Awards for the 2nd consecutive year Wednesday night on CBS, but she also made her debut as one of the new faces of Priceline.com, playing the daughter of one very iconic pitchman.

While many feared that William Shatner’s days as the Priceline Negotiator were long gone following his supposed death from a bridge in an ad that aired one year ago from the low-cost hotel reservation service, he is, in fact, a man of many mysteries (and, apparently, many lives)!

His biggest secret of all? That he has an adult daughter, played by Cuoco, who also, “like her father, (is) highly skilled in the art of finding the best travel deals.”

"It's definitely exciting working with Bill, and being part of a campaign and a brand that I've pretty much grown up with," Cuoco said in a press release. "He has single-handedly built the Priceline Negotiator into a pop culture icon. I think there's a lot of overlap in our fans, who will appreciate seeing us together as a father and daughter team. And who wouldn't want to be William Shatner's daughter?"

(For those who've watched the above ad... perhaps you're wondering what Cuoco says to Shatner in Cantonese? Turns out she's saying, "You still owe him $5," before they break out in laughter together!)

omg! Insider caught up with Cuoco backstage – after her hosting duties were done – to talk about her big night.

“It was fun to see all their little faces in the front row,” Cuoco told “omg! Insider’s” Thea Andrews about all of her “Big Bang Theory” superfans who were in the audience supporting their leading lady. But her favorite part of the evening was starring on stage alongside one very special sidekick.

“What was your favorite highlight of her performance?” Andrews asked.

“Having your own dog perform with you is pretty special,” Cuoco’s Emmy-winning co-star Jim Parsons piped in.

“That was my dog,” Cuoco – who is the proud owner of three pit bulls – explained. “I gotta tell you that dog is better than any actor dogs I've ever worked with. I'm serious! She sat there the whole time.”

In the fake PSA speaking out against the internet trend of “Dog Shaming,” Cuoco is joined by one of her pit bulls, Shirley, who turns the tables on her owner.

“You're gonna go out and say that?” co-star Simon Helberg barked back. “There's a lot of actor dogs watching.”

“I know, I know, I know, but you know, she was amazing, she was like amazing,” Cuoco gushed.

Following her canine’s People’s Choice Awards coming out, Cuoco had some larger ambitions for this particular precious pooch.

“What about the Puppy Bowl?” Helberg asked.

“The Puppy Bowl for sure, yeah! ... Yeah, definitely the Puppy Bowl.”
