Joey McIntyre Finishes Boston Marathon Minutes Before Explosions; Stars React on Twitter

Two explosions went off at the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday afternoon. The cause remains unknown, but according to CNN two people are dead and more than 100 are injured, though this number continues to rise.

New Kids on the Block singer Joey McIntyre was one of the many runners who participated in the marathon today, missing the blast by minutes. Luckily, McIntyre, who was running his first marathon for his mom to raise funds for Alzheimer's research, tweeted that he was safe:

Fellow NKOTB member Donnie Wahlberg initially tweeted concern for his friend.

"Biggest Loser" season 10 winner Patrick House was another celebrity racing on Monday, tweeting earlier today:

No word from House on Twitter since the explosions.

Whether they have a Boston connection or not, many celebrities are sending their prayers and well wishes via Twitter to everyone who may be affected by this tragedy.
