It pays to play a werewolf … and a stripper.

"True Blood" and "Magic Mike" star Joe Manganiello recently plunked down $1.806 million for a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom mid-century home in a star-studded enclave of L.A.'s Hollywood Hills, according to real estate website Redfin.

And Manganiello is far from the only celeb in his new neighborhood, dubbed Nichols Canyon. Rose McGowan, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Anna Faris and Chris Pratt all currently have pads in the area, and the list of famous folks who previously called the area home reads like a roster of Oscar winners, with Renee Zellweger, Julia Roberts, and Kevin Costner all among former residents.

The home, built in 1963, features many of the classic features the style mid-century houses are known for: a flat roof, stone accents, and tons of glass, which help blend the indoors and out. According to the home's listing agent, Steven Aaron, principal of Steven Aaron Realtor Group, who represented the sellers (and happens to star in the reality series "Selling L.A."), the neighborhood is especially coveted for a few reasons.

"It's off Nichols Canyon. That whole area is just really, really lovely. It's very natural and it's green and private," he tells omg!. "In general, there's a lot of privacy when you live up in the Canyon area.

And Nichols Canyon is one of the canyons that has the least amount of traffic."

Aaron also says the place went into escrow just two weeks after it hit the market, in part because of how popular mid-century homes are these days, but also thanks to all of the renovations the sellers did prior to listing it. "They spent over $300,000 doing a lot of detail work and added a lot of additional architectural elements to the house that made it more contemporary and more up-to-date," he shares.

The 50-year-old house — which totals more than 2,400 square feet and sits on a quarter acres — now includes new fixtures and modern appliances like a Viking oven, Subzero refrigerator and Bosch dishwasher, as well as a Travertine master bath featuring a walk-in shower and soaking tub.

Both the living room and the master bath (which comes equipped with a giant walk-in closet) open up to the yard, where Manganiello can entertain all of his castmates whenever he wants thanks to a gorgeous outdoor area complete with pool, waterfall, hot tub, fire pit, and a built-in BBQ, perfect for grilling, well, whatever werewolves are eating these days.
