Jennifer Lawrence: Fame Made Me Closed Off and Rude

Jennifer Lawrence may not be known for her manners and now she's dishing why. The 23-year-old graces the cover of the June issue of Marie Claire, where she admitted that fame has prevented her from being the southern belle she was raised to be.

"I'm a lot more closed off and frankly probably rude," she explained. "I mean, I'm from Kentucky. I used to be very personable and make eye contact and smile at people, and now all I do is look down. When I'm at dinner and one person after another keeps interrupting to take pictures, it's like, ‘I can't live like this.'"

Apparently, that couldn't be further from the truth.

"There was something in a magazine, and I was like, 'Oh, my God, that's hilarious,' because Kristen and I are friends," she explained. "I actually texted her a picture of it and was like, ‘Just so you know, this is absolutely true.’”

But Kristen is just one of her many gal pals, as we all saw when she took her BFF, Laura Simpson, to the Academy Awards as her date this year.

"I don't trust a girl who doesn’t have any girlfriends," she told the mag. "I have really close girlfriends, but they are guys like me – girls who eat and don’t know anything about fashion."
