So it's not at all surprising that Jennie Garth, the actress who played the blond beauty for 10 seasons on the teen sudser, learned some lessons about self-love from her character.
Garth showed off a new tattoo on her upper arm that reads "I love you," as she hit the red carpet for the Lindt Gold Bunny Celebrity Auction in New York on Tuesday.
The 40-year-old endured a high-profile split with husband of 11 years Peter Facinelli in March 2012, and began dating Big Gigantic Drummer Jeremy Salken — who's nine years her junior — in October.
However, her new tat commemorates her favorite phrase — no matter who she's dating.
"They're my favorite words, and I don't say them enough to other people, let alone to myself," she told Health magazine in January. "When you say them, it makes you want to be gentle and kind. Even if you're mad, there's that love."
