Heidi Klum’s Racy ‘Project Runway’ Billboard Banned From L.A.

Yahoo Celebrity

What is too sexy for Los Angeles? Apparently the billboard advertising the new season of "Project Runway" is!

Promotional images for the 12th and latest cycle of the hit reality competition series, premiering on July 18 at 9 p.m. on Lifetime, have been banned from being displayed roadside in La-La Land, The Hollywood Reporter confirms. In the ad, host Heidi Klum and and mentor Tim Gunn are dressed like royalty. The supermodel wears a large Victorian wig and an enormous gown while Gunn holds a sewing needle scepter and is clothed in black pants, a vest, and a bow tie.

Needless to say, that's not what has the city of Los Angeles up in arms. It's the several nude models appearing to be looking up at their majesties in the image — that has tongues wagging. According to Variety, the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety says that any sign containing "obscene matters" can be prohibited from the city. (Lifetime declined to comment on the issue).

Heidi Klum's Race 'Project Runway' Season 12 Ad (Lifetime)

Well, as Heidi always says, "One day you're in, and the next day you're out" — guess this time it's "Project Runway"'s billboard that has been eliminated (at least in L.A.).

Check out this video to see if you think the ad is too risqué for L.A., and be sure to tune in to "omg! Insider" on TV for all the latest in entertainment news.
