When "Full House" ruled the dial in the late '80s and early '90s, John Stamos and Lori Loughlin quickly became fan favorites as the fetching duo of Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky. Not only did they both have amazing hair, but their on-screen chemistry was off the charts. Viewers were fully behind that "Forever" ending Jesse crooned about on the couple's wedding day.

So did that reel-life romance ever spill over to real life for the well-liked actors? Sadly, no.

"I was actually married at the time that I was doing the show and then I got divorced," Loughlin, 48, told Huff Post Live in a recent interview. "And then when I got divorced, he met Rebecca [Romijn] and he got married. So our timing was just really off. I don't think it ever entered our minds that it would be something more."

Loughlin, who can next be seen in the Lifetime movie "A Mother’s Rage," said their relationship has always been a friendship – and it endures to this day.

"He's a really good friend of mine," said the actress, who became remarried in 1997 to designer Mossimo Giannulli with whom she has two daughters. "I love and adore him. I think we have really good chemistry. We always had chemistry on that show. We get each other. We work really well together. We just click."

So will viewers ever get to see Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky together again in the form of a "Full House" reunion? Don’t hold your breath.

"There are no plans to do any type of ‘Full House’ reunion that I know of," Loughlin said. "I guess if it were to come up, we'd all cross that bridge when we got to it [and saw] what the script was like. There's a part of me that thinks it better that it’s left the way it is. I grew up watching 'Brady Bunch,' 'Partridge Family,' and shows like that. Whenever they tried to do the 'Brady Bunch' reunion shows, I would watch them – it was always fun to see everyone again – but there was always that sad feeling of I wish they had left it the way it was."

As for Stamos – who has been single since his split from Romijn in 2004 – he is clearly a fan of his former TV wife. On Tuesday, he commented about Loughlin’s interview, tweeting, “Adore this article and video from my lovely lori loughlin (nice tap dancing BTW babe).”

Do you think there should be a “Full House” reunion? Or is it better left as part of TV history? Weigh in below.
