False Alarm: Kim Kardashian Did Not Join the Celebrity Fringe Brigade
Before you all rush out to get bangs so you can look just like Kim Kardashian – wait, that wasn’t what you had planned?! – we have an important update for you: They’re fake!
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star took to her blog Thursday to clear things up about her hair makeover earlier this week. While she did get snipped by celebrity stylist Chris McMillan, the most drastic part about the cut – the bangs! – were “just clip ons,” the 32-year-old wrote.
It was Kardashian’s own tweet which led people to think she had changed up her signature look in the first place. "Fun shoot today Chris McMillan. He just can't control his scissor hands! #Bangs," Kardashian wrote Tuesday, along with a collage of photos that showed her with her fake fringe. Too bad the look is only temporary because it’s a flattering one. It’s a softer style, which really framed her face.
We really should have known Kanye West’s lady love was only experimenting with the hairstyle. After all, the beauty-conscious star tested out clip-on bangs nearly one year ago when she hosted a New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas. That time they were much more blunt and her hair was a darker hue.
Maybe now that Kardashian has received some positive feedback from her haircut, she’ll actually really cut bangs. However, we won’t believe it – or write about it again! – until we actually tug on them and know for sure that they’re real.
