The union is official.
Dwyane Wade, 32, and Gabrielle Union, 41, married at the Chateau Artisan in Miami on Saturday evening, surrounded by family and friends.
The bride wore a strapless Dennis Basso dress from Kleinfeld Bridal, while the groom wore a customized Dsquared2 tuxedo, accompanied by a personally designed Wedding Collection bowtie from The Tie Bar and a boutonniére by Floral Fix. The guests dressed in black and white to accompany the evening's 1930s era theme. Vanilla Puddin' Chardonnay was served as the official white wine of the wedding.
Celebrities in attendance included Kevin Hart, Wade's Miami Heat teammate Chris Bosh and wife Adrienne, Will Packer, Dorell Wright of the Portland Trail Blazers and wife Mia, former Survivor contestant Corinne Kaplan, A-list publicist Jonathan Cheban, and performer for the night John Legend.
Earlier in the day, Gabrielle posted a photo Instagram proclaiming her excitement, captioning it, "Happy... Got my Luther playin... There's a #BeingMaryJane marathon on #BET, my #nebraska #huskers play today... All my loved ones are in town... Today is a good day... I must say I'm feeling blessed and humbled and just freakin happy... Let's go!!! #thewadeunion."
While the lovebirds celebrated a happy ending, the road to their wedding was as dramatic as any TV show the actress has starred in.
The two started dating in 2009, reportedly after the Miami Heat player split from ex-wife, high school girlfriend Siohvaughn Funches, in 2007. Though some blamed Union for the breakup, the Bring It On star has denied that she was the reason for the divorce and opened up to Jet in 2012 as to why she never spoke out about the rumors.
"I think people mistook me taking the high road as an admission of guilt," she told the mag. "Dwyane and I made a decision very early to not react to the negativity. And I kept feeling like the truth would come out. The problem is, when it did, nobody cared. What I discovered on social media is that people don't read the entire story."
The drama continued even as she and Wade announced their engagement in late 2013, when news broke that the NBA pro had fathered a child with a long-time friend when the couple was on a break. (He’s also raising two sons from his first marriage and a nephew.)
Union was reportedly aware of the child (born in November 2013) before they got engaged, and the two worked through the issue privately.

Wade told Jay Leno on The Tonight Show in September that their separation had to do with the demands of their competing careers.
"Celebrity relationships [are] very hard," he said. "This was a big year for us and our relationship from the standpoint of she was shooting her show Being Mary Jane, going most of the year. I was dealing with my injuries, trying to win a championship, so we kinda took a step back."
Knowing the ups and downs of the long-term relationship, maybe it's not a surprise that at Union's insistence, the two signed a prenup.
"When you have your own stuff, you don't need to worry about anyone else's stuff," Union told Arsenio Hall in February. "So everyone should go into the relationship knowing I'm here for you and you're here for me, and the reality is I've never seen Dwyane balance a checkbook, so I gotta protect my stuff."
It's the second marriage for both parties. Union was married to football player Chris Howard from 2001 to 2006. Wade was married to Funches from 2002 until their separation in 2007 — their divorce was finalized in 2010.
