Busy Philipps named her new daughter Cricket Pearl ― and she's not exactly stressing out over what you (or anyone else) might think of it.

"It's weird people think my kids will be in therapy because of their names," the "Cougar Town" star tweeted Wednesday night, referring as well to daughter Birdie Leigh, 4. "Guys, my kids will be therapy for LOTS of reasons, I'm sure."

It's that sense of humor that makes us love Busy, who, along with husband screenwriter Marc Silverstein, welcomed Cricket on July 2. And the baby's name, which is an uncommon one in a world of Sophias, Emmas, and Isabellas, seems to suit them.

"Cricket has always been a rare given name," name expert and author Laura Wattenberg from BabyNameWizard.com and NameCandy.com tells omg!. "It hit a few small celebrity-inspired peaks, including one in the early 1980s thanks to a Cricket played by Lisa Loring on the soap opera 'As the World Turns.'" And came another soon after in 1983 when Lauralee Bell was cast as Christine "Cricket" Blair on another soap, "The Young and the Restless," a popular role she's played on and off for more than three decades. There's also currently a Crickett on "Hart of Dixie," played by Brandi Burkhardt.

"The name's sense of fun has made it more common as a nickname, often acquired in childhood," continues Wattenberg. "As it happens, that's also the story behind the name 'Busy.' Philipps is legally 'Elizabeth,' but was called Busy as a baby and the nickname stuck. [She has] said that Birdie's name was inspired by a nickname, too: 'Lady Bird,' as in Lady Bird Johnson, the late U.S. first lady."

And Cricket and Birdie seem to fit together. It's not like it could have been Birdie and Mary, or Birdie and Jill. The name needed a little flair.

"The pairing of Cricket with big sister Birdie multiplies the sense of fun, as well as the casual nickname feeling," says Wattenberg.
