Talk about one modern family!
During Tuesday's appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Courteney Cox opened up about how her 9-year-old daughter, Coco, reacted to news that her father, David Arquette, and girlfriend Christina McLarty are expecting a baby together.
"At first she was nervous because it's a big deal," Cox, 49, explained. "At first, I was nervous! I was like, 'Woo, heavy.' Now it's great."
The "Cougar Town" star went on to describe their interesting family dynamic.
"We actually all had dinner the other night. The whole family. It's a very unique relationship," she explained. "All of us, like, literally, me and Christina and David and Coco — it's great though."
So is Coco going to have a little brother or sister?
"They're going to have a baby boy," Cox revealed, before adding: "I hope I'm allowed to say that!"
The actress and Arquette split in 2010 after 11 years of marriage.
In November, sources confirmed to Yahoo that David and McLarty, an entertainment correspondent, were expecting a child together after nearly two years of dating.
As for Courteney’s love life, the actress has recently been seeing Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid (the pair were set up by mutual friend Ed Sheeran).
While Coco is handling her father's big news well, Courteney joked that she doesn't enjoy curveballs in her mom's life.
"It's almost like she's a little bit of a tick — she is on me!" Cox laughed. "She doesn't want changes in my life."
