Courteney Cox on Anti-Aging Procedures: ‘I’m Game for Anything’

While some celebs might be a little shy about revealing their anti-aging regimen, Courteney Cox is quite the opposite. In the debut issue of beauty mag New You, the 48-year-old admits she’s not afraid to take advantage of a little medical help when it comes to looking younger.

“You know what, I’m game for anything. I’m very open to trying to prolong the inevitable. I’m a big laser believer. I really think they are the wave of the future,” the 46-year-old shares in the interview. “I just did [ultrasound skin tightening] Ulthera, which is supposed to produce collagen. And I’m about to do [non-invasive laser therapy] Fraxel, which will get rid of all these brown spots off my arms, chest and face."

But some other steps in her beauty regimen don’t seem nearly as complicated. When asked for a couple of go-to daily tips, the “Cougar Town” star insists it’s all about moisturizing and drinking water. And I don’t drink near enough. I’m on this kick where I’m gonna try to drink 64 ounces a day. It’s so hard,” Cox confesses. “I can get the first 32 down, no problem. That second bottle is tough but when I do, I feel different.”

As for her philosophy when it comes to dealing with youth-obsessed Hollywood, the actress reiterates something her husband of more than a decade, David Arquette, told her. (Though the couple separated in late 2010, they remain close friends.) "There’s so many beautiful people and there’s so much pressure you put on yourself,” Cox admits, “but David has always said to me, ‘You’ve got to accept we’re all gonna age and just do it gracefully. And the sooner you accept, the easier your life is.’"

And with 50 fast approaching, Cox, who first hit the small screen as a fresh-faced 20-year-old in Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark” more than 25 years ago, has a certain older actress she aspires to emulate: Helen Mirren.

“[She] is so sexy. You know when people say you get better with age, that’s the perfect example,” gushes Cox. “She’s just a bad ass in every way. She could rival the most gorgeous 30-year-old. She’s just so confident, and let’s face it, it’s always about confidence."
