Chris Brown has done his fair share of whining on social media, but this time, he’s off the hook.

After an Instagram account purporting to be him went on a long-winded rant just hours before he was due in a Los Angeles court for a probation hearing on Wednesday, his rep tells omg!, “It’s fake and in the process of being taken down. Chris doesn’t have an Instagram anymore” – although the latter part of that statement is not exactly true since his official Instagram page is still live.

Earlier, omg! reported that the account appeared real. GossipCop.com was the first to report the news that the rant was fake.

One thing that is not fake: Brown and Rihanna’s relationship. At 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, the two were photographed leaving a recording studio together. The two didn’t seem to be smiling though as he drove them home. omg! has learned that the couple have RSVP’d for at least one Grammy party together this upcoming weekend in L.A.

Still, Rihanna seems to have some advice for her troubled beau. On Monday, she posted a Bible verse on her Instagram that began with the words, “Be Secure.” She then highlighted the lines, “God can strengthen us to the point that we can make progress even during trouble … Trials and testing do not come to cause us to lose stability.” Then she underlined another passage in red, which stated, “Nothing will keep us from making progress today because God is our strength.”

It’s up to a judge now to decide if Brown could possibly be heading behind bars. He’s due in court at 2:00 p.m. PT for a regularly scheduled probation hearing, which should be anything but routine. As omg! reported on Tuesday, the L.A. County District Attorney filed a 19-page motion that Brown’s community service, which he served in his home state of Virginia, had “significant discrepancies indicating at best sloppy documentation and at worst fraudulent reporting.” It also stated that Brown’s own mother signed off on community service done at a day care facility she once worked for. On one day in particular in March 15, 2012, Brown claimed to have put in an eight-hour day there, when aviation records show he was actually aboard a private plane bound for Cancun, Mexico.

On Tuesday, sources connected to police in Virginia began denying all accusations. “Richmond P.D. is extremely upset about the allegations and believe that prosecutors are just ignoring the facts,” a source told Radar Online.

Check back with omg! as we continue to cover Brown’s appearance in court today.
