Charlize Theron Toasts Oscars Host Seth MacFarlane at Oscars Afterparty

Despite mixed reviews, Oscar host Seth MacFarlane has at least one A-Lister on his side: Charlize Theron.

The “Snow White and the Huntsman” actress arrived at the party on The Lot in West Hollywood around midnight and made her way right to the front of the venue. MacFarlane transformed the venue into a gorgeous setting. Clad with white interior, trees, and with a large orchestra on stage, the “Family Guy” creator seemed to keep with the night’s “Old Hollywood” theme.

Theron, 37, sipped on a drink and hung out with a small group of friends at a table near the stage. She appeared to be in great spirits while mingling with MacFarlane for a while, greeting him with a giant hug. Theron also complimented him on a job well done.

The Oscar winning actress stunned in her white Dior gown (with a suit jacket on top at times), although her train seemed to get in the way of some partygoers. More than one guest trampled over Theron’s gorgeous train, and once realizing their fashion faux pas, people would immediately apologize to the actress.

“Don’t worry, everyone does it,” Theron would reply with a smile.

Somehow we don’t think every actress would be as cool as she was!

Theron danced the night away for more than an hour, sipping on drinks and talking with partygoers who approached her area.

Meanwhile, MacFarlane made the rounds hopping to a few tables and greeting guests with a wide smile. He kept finding his way back to Theron, though, as that seemed to be where the real party was at.

Nearby, stars including Matthew Morrison, Chord Overstreet, and John Stamos (who apparently never did find Jennifer Lawrence) roamed the glamorous soiree.

Guests sipped on white wine, champagne, and Red Bull to ensure they could last late into the night.

Throughout the evening, the orchestra played some of the infamous “time to stop talking” cues that haunted some of the Oscar winners during this year’s ceremony. The “Jaws” and “Star Wars” themes were just a couple of the tunes played on stage before host MacFarlane got up to sing a few numbers himself for the crowd.

Around 2 a.m. the orchestra packed up and a DJ was brought on stage for those guests that were ready to keep the party going.

Other stars at the bash: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Nina Dobrev, Steven Tyler, Emile Hirsh, Molly Sims, and Alyssa Milano.
